Speed Scrapping Layout!

Good morning

Thought I would share my layout from speed scrapping at ScrapBoutique last night. My baby girl turned thirteen last week and we celebrated at one of her favourite places...Hogsbreath! I can't believe how fast the years go by...it seems only yesterday that she was a little girl and it is moving way too quickly for my liking, lol. I have used Basic Grey Life of the Party papers and my recycled/upcycled items are the twine on the banner that came from a clothing tag and the buttons that were cut from old clothing.

This week I have also been playing with this gorgeous range that came in my latest ScrapBoutique Stylist pack! I am one happy girl getting to play with these goodies :)

Hope you have a great weekend!!

It's the ScrapBoutique cyber crop this weekend and we are doing our bit for the environment with our theme being Recycling/Upcycling!
The fun starts in the forum Friday at 7.30pm and I will be hosting the speed scrap soon after.
Our new stylists Karen Watson and Sharon Ettwell are now on board and they have some wonderful challenges planned, so why not drop in and have a look.
Love to see you there!

Toot Toot...My first publication!!

Hi there

I'm so excited to share my first ever publication with you!
The photo is of my grandparents on their wedding day and the page is published in issue Vol 14 No 8 of Scrapbooking Memories. I have used the fabulous October Afternoon Farmhouse collection. I loved working with this range and it is just so versatile! I have had a second layout created with this collection accepted for publication and a card set as well :)
I'm looking forward to seeing them published in a few months.

I am also super excited to win a prize for the April Kraft It Up challenge with this page...

This is the first challenge I have entered for quite a while. I wish I had more time as I love creating layouts when I have a set of criteria. I don't seem to procrastinate as much, lol!
Thanks Kraft It Up and 2Crafty :)

I am one very happy girl, doing a little happy dance here....

Spring Jubilee and a She Art canvas

Good Morning

It's perfect weather in my part of the world! Winter is approaching, the nights are a bit cooler but the days have been warm and sunny. I have once again been playing with the Spring Jubilee range from Pink Paislee! Love the gorgeous colours in this collection.

A layout of DD who wants to be a photographer when she grows up...

And a simple card for my stash...

A canvas using the Pink Paislee She Art collection!

This month at ScrapBoutique I am hosting the stash stomper and I have chosen to stomp Alphas!

Now, I have had this tray in a cupboard at home for at least 20 years, since back in the day when I fancied myself a folk artist (trust me when I say I was not, lol). I have been wanting to do something like this with it for a while... It's a great feeling to finally put the tray to some use! I have used Prima Nature Garden papers with Maya Road chipboard alphas that have been in my stash since I started scrapbooking. I gave the tray a coat of gesso and Making Memories paint before inking and adding some different textures like lace, cardboard and sinamay. I added a coat of Decoupage and now it's ready to hang on DD's wall...well it will be when DH attaches the hangers to the back :)

That's all for today. Hope you get the chance to do something creative this weekend and a big Happy Mother's Day to all the Mum's out there xox
