Scrapboutique April 2017 Challenge

Hi there

I thought I would share my entry for the red, black and white challenge over at the ScrapBoutique Fitting Room Facebook group.
This challenge was set by the lovely Phillipa Newsham and I couldn't wait to get started scrapping.
I created the background with a red shade of Prima Color Confections. I love these little pans of colour and I used my favourite technique of adding the colour to some old plastic packaging and then just pressing it down onto the cardstock. You can spread the colour wherever  you want it by smooshing the plastic around the page. I then created texture by using whipped spackle with a stencil. So fun!
I chose red shades of paper and embellishments from the Cocoa Vanilla Wild at Heart collection and finished off the page by repeated stamping with a tiny stamp.

Thanks for stopping by!

Scrap the Boys April Challenge

Hey there,
Don't you just love long weekends!
The weather has been gorgeous here in my part of the world and having the extra days off work has meant extra time for family, gardening and of course scrapbooking.
I love the monthly challenges at Scrap the Boys but due to a hectic work schedule I don't always get time to play like I want to. I'm so happy I could spend some time today creating this page of my little nephew Hunter helping his Dad with the lawn.
Isn't he just the cutest!

I have used an older Studio Calico kit from 2014 'Bluegrass Farms'.
I still enjoy going back to my older kits and I am glad that I decided to keep them together and not break them up into my stash.

Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you had a fabulous Easter weekend.

Scrap The Boys January 2017 Challenge

Hi there
Hope you are having a great day!
I love using numbers on layouts so the January challenge over at Scrap the Boys was a perfect way for me to start off my new years scrapping.
I love this photo of my cute little {great} nephew Hunter with his Dad. Hunter is such a happy little boy and a real handful for his parents! hehe

I have used the Dear Lizzy Saturday collection - paper, stickers and washi along with typed journaling strips and a few chipboard pieces from an Ali Edwards Story kit.
I added machine stitching with white cotton (my favourite) and mist splatters for a little extra interest.
Hope you like it and thanks so much for stopping by my blog today.

Happy Scrappy 2017

Hi there,

My name's Leanne and it's almost a year since my last blog post!
Seriously, does anyone read blogs anymore?
I don't know but I have decided to start sharing on my blog again if only because it is a good way of keeping track of your documenting and a great place to share challenges etc.
The last twelve months have been a bit of a blur. I started a new and demanding job and it's taken me most of the year to settle into my new role.
I have been creating layouts but found myself too busy to do the photographing, editing and uploading so was taking the easy way out by using my iPhone and posting to Instagram .
During 2016 I was creating layouts for my role as a Scrapbooking Memories Master and today I photographed these pages and rather than post them all individually I made a collage using Pic Monkey, a free online editing tool.

Twenty Sixteen ended on a sad note when my dear happy, scrappy friend Debi Clark passed away. I first met Debi at online store ScrapBoutique and we soon realised that we lived in the same town. We met for coffee in July 2010 and then attended retreats together and became firm friends.
Some of the girls from ScrapBoutique have decided to scrap a lovely black and white photo of Deb. My layout design is inspired by Sharon Ettwell and the use of the Kraft flowers is inspired by Catherine Davis's layout at Studio Calico. I added tiny word stickers that describe Debi perfectly. Words like soulful, beautiful, kind and artist.
Rest in Peace Debi xo

My plan for 2017 is to try to participate in more challenges (I know, I said that last year) and to share them here.
I will be back soon with my first challenge for the year.
